Hi!
I’m Miela, welcome to my little place on the internet!
During the day I do cybersecurity (which you can read about on my boring professional site), but outside of work I like to use these skills to make cool art.
Pre-COVID I was raised in the tildeverse and indie web, I disappeared for a while but now I’m coming back with upgraded skills and the ability to host my own website.
Why is the site like this?
Because I like it like this. The background image may take 10 business days to load, but when it does it’s nice. Monospace is well known to be less readable than variable width, but Sono is still such an expressive font. It’s an intentionally unpolished site, it’s made to be artistic, not optimised. Most of web is very corporate, to me these sites feel like a breath of fresh air.
But I do have a professional website so potential employers don’t need to navigate this thing.

Evelyn’s site at enjarai.dev was a huge inspiration for this one, I really like the comfy vibe it has and want to recreate something like that here. It’s a bit more similar than I’d like it to be right now, but over time this will hopefully branch out.
The little cat running around is by Ari/adryd with some modifications by me, and you can find it here.
